Some basic information:
The Williams Institute at the UCLA School of Law, a sexual orientation law and public policy think tank, estimates that there are 8.8 million gay, lesbian, and bisexual persons in the U.S There are roughly 304,000,000 people in the US. That means this group represents about 2.8% of the population.

Today New Hampshire joined other states in Gay Marriage. Here is a cut from yahoo news.....
The law will take effect in January, exactly two years after the state legalized civil unions. New Hampshire joins Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, Vermont and Iowa in recognizing same-sex marriages, though opponents hope to overturn Maine's law with a public vote.

This is not a discussion on whether it should be legal....I will leave that for another day.... my thought is why on earth is this issue on the front page of the paper EVERY single day. This is issue effect less then 3% of the population. With the coverage this gets....you would think it effected 97% of the population. If the press would just spend equal amounts of time in relation to population on other items.....guess what?....there would be no room in the papers or the news broadcast....this is a very small majority in the United States. Agree with them or not......I am tired of listening to it.
