In closing out about our weekend in Prague, I thought I would review our highlights.
The city is, by far, a better city to visit then Vienna. The size, the walkability, the sites...all are more interesting and far more beautiful. I would of preferred to stay a week instead of just a few days.
Our final night we had dinner in the main square with The Church of Our Lady before Tyn’s steeples behind us and the clock tower to the side of us. It was a little cold, but the place had heaters and good beer. The meal was outstanding. It was great catching up with Taylor and enjoying time with her.
The name of our hotel was the Golden Deer. We could not have picked a better location. It was steps to the main square in Prague...and I do mean steps. The place itself is billed as a three star......but it’s sparse at best. The best feature of the hotel is the location. Overall. It was fine.
The history of the Catholic church is the basis of almost all of the historical places in Prague.....outside the downfall of communism. There are 400 Catholic churches here. The sad thing....most are used for concert halls and museums. Our guide told me that over 60% of the population is atheist.
What a waste.
Totally would recommend this city

That is due to the prior government. Anyone that wished to worship, needed to do so in secret. Sad...
