We are going to see Chuck Berry Tonight at The Duck Room This venue is a basement inside a local bar in the loop of St Louis. The last time I was there, I saw Marshall Crenshaw That was a few years ago. That was one of the best shows I have ever seen.......I have been to about 300-400 concerts... It was just Marshall, his guitar and a stool. That's it.....oh and about 150 people. The Duck room can only handle about 150 people....and that's standing. There are less then 20 chairs...
The one crazy thing about this place is that it's in the basement. The whole time I am thinking....what happens in a fire...how do I get out of this place. There are two little stairwells to the exits....better be no pyro technics at this show!
Chuck Berry is a local hero around here..A Native St Louisian ....he is now 81 years old and still touring....come on...how cool is that. I cannot wait for the concert tonight.......
