Today is the day! We pick up the H.O.W. at 2:30 today.
We were able to pick up the beast a couple of days early to pack it up. It helped the rental agency out also. Friday is the busiest day foe them, so it helped them by giving it to us early.
The H.O.W. is a 31 foot RV. It's brand new...2008 model with one of those slide outs....wow, it gives you about 4 extra feet....go wild!
Denise and I have been dreaming about this trip for over a decade. Our kids are the perfect age...the timing is right. Except for that gas is $4 a gallon throughout the US....ouch. We will be leaving on Saturday morning....bright and early I hope., The first 2 days are a bear. We have to drive out to the Badlands of South Dakota....Remember New Englanders....it takes 4-4 1/2 hours just to cross Missouri.
I have yet to pack one item....away for 5 weeks and now 2 days before blast off, I will go into overdrive to prepare for the trip!
There is always VISA.
