We left the Badlands from the Badlands Ranch and Resort...otherwise known as the dump on the end of a dirt road with a guy who barely speaks to you...not the brightest guy. Interesting trying to get out of the place after it rained all night. The 3-4 mile road was a mud patch. I got the beast up to 45 and just drove like I was back in CT in the snow. The beast was slippin and slidin...We made it through...even though we were driving side ways at times. Thankfully I remembered one lesson from driving school...Never take your foot off the gas. Made it...But the H.O.W is a huge mess. Of course I have not and will not be washing the beast anytime soon. The Hoosier extravaganza continues .
From there, we went to Wall Drug. It's worth the time. It's a little rundown town, but their main street is full of little shops and Wall Drug. BTW Interior SD...818 people.
From Wall Drug we went to Mount Rushmore. It would of been great except the fog was so heavy that we could not see the monument!
