Gelato

You would think that gelato was heroin.....

It really didn't hit me until we visited Amalfi.  Yesterday we took  ferry to the town of Amalfi....more on that later.

So of course you have to a gelato....basically it's ice cream.  Everyone eats this stuff....all day.  It does not matter what time it is....there are people selling the stuff and people scoffing it down.

The crazy part is how many shops there are.  We we sitting at a gelato shop on the main drag in Amalfi.  A cobblestone pedestrian lane that starts at the ocean and meanders it's way up the mountain.  Interestingly enough, I was not having a gelato...I was drinking a beer....Denise was having one.  (I think that was the first one I missed)  anyway....honestly within 50-75 feet there were 6-7 places to get gelato; 5 of which were gelato shops with the other being delis/bakery/gelato shops.  I am not sure how they all stay in business....
