Ave. Of The Giants...Cool

More big trees today.  We explored the Avenue of the Giants in Northern CA.  It's a 31 mile stretch that goes through a Redwood Forest State Park.  It's the old Route 101.  The trails were very peaceful and the trees are crazy big.  Hard to explain ....you need to see these honkers.

We then traveled Route 101 down the coast to Oakland and took a left to my brother-in-laws.  101 is a curvy 2-4 lane Highway through the mountains of California.  It would of been fine except for the Roar of the Redwoods.  This motorcycle festival is happening this weekend.  I must of passed 1,000 motorcycles coming north on 101.  It mad the initial drive a little more serious.  I was doing the death grip on the ten and two of the steering wheel.  We made it to Mike and Gigi's by 6:30 pm.  Not a bad drive day......

We will be exploring San Francisco today and tomorrow.  Denise has about 100 things show wants to see....I think we will hit about 5.

Mike and Gigi live in San Ramon, about 45 minutes from the city.  It's a very nice community built into the hills.  Kids enjoyed the pool last night and the adults caught up.
