Some thoughts about the Washington and Oregon Coasts.
Hitchhikers.....I ahve not seen the infamous thumb out in years.. I have seen a handful hear. If i was not with my family, I may have picked one up. They are all hiker looking people. Would of been fun to hear their story.
Logging Trucks....Never saw one of these monsters before. They are big and have tons of logs strapped on them. And I do mean strapped....everytime one comes barreling down the highay I shudder to thought of the strap breaking and they all roll out.
Stand Alone Coffee Shops. When I saw the first little coffe hut...I said oh cool...let me get Denise a cup of coffee. If this is the only thing they sell they must be great at it.....WRONG. These sheds are 8 ft by 6 ft. They are everywhere. I must have seen 200 so far. They are all drive throughs. Image being cooped up in that shed for 8 hours a day....in the rain.....in the middle of nowhere
Deserted beach towns....June must be like January in Nags Head around here. There are not a lot of beach towns but they were all deserted. I guess they get 2 months of beach weather tops in this part of the country.
The drive through Oregon had been very good. More on that later
