The RV is working out pretty well….cool

Written a say or so ago....finally

I'm sure by now you’re wondering how the RV is working out. Overall it is very good.

We have driven over 1,700 miles and have averaged 9.3 miles per gallon. Sleeping has gotten into a routine and seems to be working fine. Taylor gets the couch pull out, Chris gets the dining room conversion bed, Jess and Shelby are in the overhang and Denise and I share the queen. The heat works great, we have needed it every night so far. The RV itself is just OK. I figure this thing must go for 75k. You would think that for 75k it would be over better quality. The finish is just OK…looks good on the surface but falls apart pretty easily, It has about 15 locks. Most are the most cheaply made locks available with a little key that barely opens the locks. The key almost breaks every time you use them. The bathroom is so small that when you try to bend over to spit the toothpaste out, you smack your head. So you end up trying to spit the toothpaste into this tiny sink from 2 feet away…what a mess.

The best part of the RV is the convenience. There is no in and out of hotel rooms…you’re hungry? Open the fridge and make a sandwich. You’re tired, just pull it over and go to sleep….now I am not ready to become a professional RVer, but it is the best way to travel for a trip like this.

You should see what the $75k is worth after a few trips. The prices plummet like a lead balloon. Must be a ton of margin in the living room on wheels.

Good posts and pictures. I think when you are trying to catch up on the posts, it's better to write one long post instead of 4 or 5 at a time. Your readers don't have to scroll down or back a few pages to figure out where the left off.

I'm not sure if you have heard, but www.ShowMeCables.com has great prices on voice, video & data cabling products.
