We took the upper loop in Yellowstone yesterday. We also decided to leave the park arly and drive back to Cody WY to spend the night. Cody has a nightly rodeo and we wanted to see it. The upper loop ws better then the lower loop. There were a lot more animals. We saw moose, elk and BEARS! You can check out all of the pictures.
I didn't know that Denise was such a mental case about animals. We spot one and she literally screams and jumps out of the truck to get a picture of this Moose. When we saw a bear and it's cubs Denise gets out and I have to leave her there. There is a Bear Jam of about 25 cars on this windy stretch of an uphill mountain road. There was no where to pull over the beast. A park patrol made me drive about 3/4 of a mile. Denise had to walk up to the beast.....she was not a happy camper....the bears had moved and sh did not get her picture. Good thing she is on her game....take a look at some of the photos. Funny though....she was so excited to see a bison...but now that they are like deer in CT....not so excited
Yellowtone is truly a uniquer place. I would not say it is sooo beautiful...just very different. More on that later... I need to upload more images and let Taylor blog

Good posts & photos. Matt Cazalas is leaving New Mexico and heading toward CA I think? By reading both your blogs, if it looks like you two may get close at some point. If you do, you'll have to try and meet up at a campground. I think the kids would get a kick out of it.
Silently, I laughed..they I started to really chuckle and soon it was more of a belly laugh in the quiet of the night of San Ramon! Everyone else is sleeping and I feel like I am part of a sitcom.
Pete, I hope I can look you straight in the face without cracking up when we see you next week. Glad you're enjoying this once in a lifetime excursion!!!! Gigi
I laughed softly.. I laughed louder and before I knew it I was hysterically belly laughing in the quiet of the night in San Ramon! Pete, the others who are sleeping don't know what they're missing with your matter of fact descriptions of life on the road. I don't think I will be able to look at you without cracking up when we see you next week.
Gigi
