Slide Park State Park....cool!

Before leaving for New Mexico today, we went to Slide Park State Park in Sedona. It's a natural rock slide that is in a creek that runs through the park. It's a lot like Johnson Shut Ins park in Missouri....except that it is much more beautiful...the red rock od Sedona is outstanding. The water however, was much colder. We all went for a slide....no major accidents and we left without Denise having to use any sanitary knapkins as bandages like before
Yes in the picture you can see me....I did slide down!

The ride to New Mexico was about 5 hours. We stopped about 50 miles east of Alburquere. There are ancient pueblos of Acoma that we will visit tomorrow morning. Funny...Sedona is bsolutley beautiful....but the 2 1/2 hour ride from Flagstaff to the New Mexico boarder was a bore....nothing but scrub brush. Then once we hit the New Mexico border....WOW...the red rock re-appeared and the drive was great for about another 70 miles.

Great photos of Slide Rock Park.

Denise looks like she is riding the rocks in her Sunday best??? And how does she make it through without her hair getting wet?

Did you notice that
