We started the morning out at
Crescent Beach, CA. This is where the Redwood National and State Forest begin. For about 60 miles Route 101 winds through these parks...OK...the tree are just not big...they are CRAZY big. Really
peaceful and really kinda cool. These trees tower over us by 300 feet and have been around for 500-700 years. The forest lie right next to the pacific ocean. We meandered through the 60 miles...had a nice day hiking a bunch of trails and ended up 40 miles south of Eureka for the night.
Today we will see more big trees on the Avenue of the Giants....then we drive down to San Francisco to visit with Denise's brother's family.
Oh I for got the best part of the day....
The Sun Is out...I was in shorts and a T-shirt and was loving life. Low 70's with a pretty good breeze.
It's going to be another great weather day today.....high 70's and lots of sun!
