We made it through the night at the creepy campground....We thought that we would spend the morning in Couer D' Alene Idaho. We had heard it was a quaint village....nope....it reminded me of Middletown CT...nothing wrong but nothing special. It was raining so we decided to just drive on. We had 4-5 hours to get to Falls City Washington. We wanted to see Snoqualime Falls. This would also leave us about 30 minutes away from the airport. Tomorrow Taylor leaves us for 4 days to go back to St. Louis for a conference.
Pretty straight forward day....I was surprised on how flat and full of farms Washington state was. I expected pine trees and mountains...guess that D in geography is starting to pay off. Once you get near Seattle...the pines and mountains come into view.
We stopped at The Falls. It was a really great park. We hiked down to the base...it was about a mile in total. It was sprinkling of course!

Your trip sounds so cool! You are visiting many places I went to as a child - Corn Palace, Mt. Rushmore, Tetons, and Yellowstone. Be careful of the bears. My sister lived and worked in Yellowstone for 4 years and has some tales to tell. Glad to hear you made it to Snoqualmie Falls. Did you know of that place before someone in the neighborhood recommended it? Hope the Seattle weather isn't too rainy while you are there. Your picture of the falls really makes me miss our home there. We just returned from Florida yesterday but your trip sounds like more fun to me. Take care, keep having fun and stay safe!
