Added a few more to the top 20 yesterday.
After leaving Vegas, we stopped at Hoover Dam. This was my third time at the dam and it didn’t disappoint! We took the tour and went to the bottom of the Dam. It was very interesting. Unfortunately, Chris was the only kid who enjoyed it. They all thought it was cool to look at, but the tour was a snore.
We then decided to detour off of route 93 south out of Nevada to the West Rim of the Grand Canyon. Most people visit the Canyon on the south rim. We wanted to visit the Hualapai tribe. They have the rights I guess to the west rim. Instead of turning the place into a Casino, they have made a park. The Skywalk is one of the features of the park. It was outstanding. They built this U shaped walkway 15 months ago. It extends over the rim of the Canyon about 40 yards. See this link…..We do not have great pictures because they do not allow you to tale pictures of the thing.
Anyway….I was the brave one in the Family walking straight out on the walkway…..NOT. The thing was creepy. I held the railing for dear life. Cousin Sherrie.....no way…you would of not made it!. Of course the kids & Denise had no issue and they were jumping around trying to further scare me….nice kids. The view was great.
The second part of the park was a hike up to eagle mountain This was UNBELIAVABLE. It was just far enough out into the Canyon that you felt like you were on an island. There was a panoramic view to die for. Check the pictures out!
More on this part of the trip later.

wow guess it is time to get back to the canyon. That walkway looks really cool. What a great marvel of engineering feats! maybe they'll have a discovery channel program on it.
Enjoy!
