San Francisco....cool in more ways then one!

Well we get to Mike and Gigi;s and the kids are running around in bathing suits ready fr a swim.  This is GREAT..my kinda weather right????  So we get up Saturday to go down to SF.  It's 80+ degrees...we put on the shorts, T-shirts and sandals...OK I bring a sweatshirt, Mike says we better....

We had  a great day...but it was freezing.  The pacific wind is cold and SF gets a lot of it. The next day...of course I didn't learn.  It was 85 and hotter so Chris and I change into shorts...again....freezing.  We heard a quote from Mark Twain while we complaining about the cold...." the coldest winter I ever spent was in the summer of San Francisco".  (I could be wrong on the actual quote)

Mike explained that this is pretty normal.  SF is not the warmest town due to the winds....just caught us off guard!
