Wec are in Vegas....cool.....but HOT

We had a great couple of days of driving.  We drove the Tioga Drive out of Yosemite. The park ends at Tioga pass at the east side of the park.  It is 9,850 in elevation.  We stopped and did a 2 mile hike up to about 10,300.  It brought us to the top of a mountain that overlooked Gray lake.  The view was just OK...but the hike was fun.
Jessica could not make the hike due to an earlier accident.

We stopped to take pictures at a lake.  There was a big branch that Denise thought would be great if we climbed up there and take a picture.  So Denise jumps up there....this thing is about 3-4 feet off the ground...hanging over the bank of the lake.  I try to climb up on the thing but it's slippery and my fat butt can't make it up there....I finally wedge myself up there and Taylor gets the shot.....Of course Miss Minolta wants a picture of T and  J and herself on the log.  I am telling them be careful....when Jessica slips and ends up falling off the log.  As she falls, she pushes Denise off the log.  Taylor as you can see, finds this funny...so did Denise....Jess didn't.  She had scrapes all over her body.

When we got back to the beast, Denise went into momma bear mode.  She starts bandaging her up...not much blood...When we packed, we put a small first aid kit on the H.O.W.  It was not supplied for this type of event.  Denise then becomes little miss girl scout and adapted....next thing I know my daughter has Sanitary Napkins taped to her legs...real nice for Chris to see.

Anyway...Jess is fine.

More in the next blog about our drive to Vegas.
